Spurs legend Steve Perryman lent his support to Sport Relief volunteers at EDF Energy’s call centre in Exeter. Steve, now Director of Football at Exeter City, came along with player Neil Saunders, and Tom Johnson and Kieran Geraghty of Exeter Chiefs rugby club. The Exeter site took 2858 calls raising £86,571. Staff raised £1596 during the day.
Carl Sandland, EDF Energy’s project manager for the night, said: "It was a fantastic night. With so many calls coming in, it is hard work but we make sure there’s a fantastic atmosphere and plenty going on."
EDF Energy offices in Exeter, Hove and Sunderland took part.
