TD Waterhouse employees in Leeds, Manchester and London embraced Sport Relief in a huge way.
For the evening over 170 employees volunteered their time, taking 3,000 calls and £82,000 in donations from the generous public. This was the first time TD Waterhouse opened its call centre like this and the atmosphere was fantastic with everybody enjoying their time on the phones. In fact, we can’t wait to do it again.
This followed a week of events that saw all 550 employees stepping up to the challenge and raising in excess of £6,000 for Sport Relief – including pound-for-pound matching by the business – making it our most successful fund raising event to date! Our Chief Exec. Angus Rigby even cycled from Leeds to Manchester in support of Sport Relief.
Tracy Booth, HR Director commented: "This is the biggest fundraising event we have ever taken part in, and our most successful. Everybody got into the spirit and there was a real sense of commitment and enthusiasm from employees. As well as raising money for such a worthwhile cause one of the main objectives was to also have fun, and we certainly achieved this in a very big way."
