Why do it

  • You’ll be part of a huge nationwide event across the BBC, involving lots of your favourite sporting celebrities
  • It’s a perfect opportunity to bring your students together for an exciting activity that involves the whole school
  • We’ve got tons of learning resources for you to use in your classroom, with links to Citizenship, PE, PSHE, PSE and other subject areas too
  • What better way to get students taking on responsibility than when they help to organise Sport Relief.
  • Schools in England can get together with the rest of their School Sport Partnership and make Sport Relief the biggest event of the year
  • And don’t forget you can also work towards your National School Sport Strategy targets (as well as equivalent national strategies in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland), tie the event into your Healthy Schools initiatives, and get parents and friends involved as well.
  • The Youth Sport Trust is encouraging schools to take up the Sport Relief challenge and make the most of this opportunity for young people in their partnerships to learn and develop through PE and school sport.

There are even resources and ideas for Under 7s. We’ve teamed up with Sportacus from Lazytown to get your little ones excited about Sport Relief.
